OVERVIEW
1. Event Overview
These Terms & Conditions apply to all CryptoCon events, including but not limited to AusCryptoCon, NZCryptoCon and any affiliated conferences, networking events, side events, afterparties, workshops, digital platforms and related activities (“Event”).
By purchasing a ticket, registering for, attending or participating in a CryptoCon Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Event Changes
Due to the nature of live events, CryptoCon reserves the right to:
- Add, withdraw, substitute or reschedule speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, entertainers or presenters.
- Amend the agenda, session times, networking activities, workshops or event features.
- Change ticket inclusions, seating arrangements, venue layouts or audience capacity requirements.
- Change the venue, dates or operating hours of the Event where reasonably necessary.
Such changes do not entitle attendees to refunds, compensation or reimbursement.
CryptoCon will endeavour to communicate significant changes via email, website updates and official social media channels.
3. Tickets & Registration
All ticket sales are final.
Tickets are non-refundable except where required under applicable consumer protection laws.
Tickets may not be:
- Reproduced;
- Resold for commercial gain;
- Used for promotional giveaways without written approval;
- Copied or duplicated;
- Fraudulently transferred.
CryptoCon reserves the right to cancel any ticket that has been obtained in breach of these Terms.
Attendees may be required to present valid identification matching their registration details.
4. Wristbands, Credentials & Event Access
Where wristbands, badges or credentials are issued:
- They remain the property of CryptoCon.
- Lost, damaged, altered or removed wristbands may not be replaced.
- Wristbands and badges are non-transferable.
- Sharing credentials may result in immediate removal from the Event.
VIP, Premium GA, Whale Lounge and networking event access is limited to the ticket type purchased.
CryptoCon reserves the right to refuse entry to restricted areas.
4A. Ticket Transfers & Upgrades
Ticket Upgrades
CryptoCon may offer attendees the opportunity to upgrade their ticket to a higher-tier ticket category, subject to availability.
Ticket upgrades may include, but are not limited to:
- General Admission to Premium General Admission;
- Premium General Admission to VIP;
- Access to networking events, afterparties, yacht parties, lounges or other premium experiences.
Upgrade pricing is determined by CryptoCon and may change at any time without notice.
All upgrade purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law.
Upgrade availability is limited and may sell out prior to the Event.
Ticket Transfers
Attendees may request to transfer their ticket to another individual up to 14 days prior to the Event, subject to approval by CryptoCon.
Transfer requests must be submitted through the official ticketing platform or via the designated support channel.
CryptoCon reserves the right to refuse transfer requests where:
- The request is submitted after the transfer deadline;
- The ticket has been obtained fraudulently;
- The ticket forms part of a complimentary, promotional, sponsor, media, competition or special allocation;
- The ticket has already been used, redeemed or transferred.
Any approved transfer will result in the new ticket holder being bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Premium Experiences & Limited-Capacity Events
Certain experiences, including but not limited to yacht parties, afterparties, networking events, VIP lounges and sponsored functions, operate with strict capacity limits.
Access to these experiences is subject to availability at the time of purchase or upgrade.
CryptoCon does not guarantee availability once allocations have sold out.
Where a ticket holder transfers their event ticket, access to any associated premium experiences may not automatically transfer and may require separate approval by CryptoCon.
VIP wristbands, afterparty wristbands, yacht party credentials, networking credentials and any other premium-access credentials issued by CryptoCon are strictly non-transferable once issued and may not be shared, sold, exchanged or transferred to another individual.
Lost, damaged, removed or altered wristbands and credentials may not be replaced at CryptoCon’s discretion.
Any person found sharing, transferring, selling or attempting to gain unauthorised access using another person’s credentials may be refused entry, removed from the Event, have their ticket cancelled without refund and be excluded from future CryptoCon events.
No Refunds for Downgrades or Unused Benefits
CryptoCon does not offer refunds, credits or partial reimbursements where:
- An attendee chooses to downgrade their ticket;
- An attendee does not attend all or part of the Event;
- An attendee fails to use any included benefits or experiences;
- An attendee misses a session, networking event, afterparty, yacht party or other ticket inclusion.
Unused benefits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for alternative products, services or future event credits.
5. Networking Events & Afterparties
Certain ticket types may include access to networking events, afterparties, VIP functions, yacht parties or sponsor activations.
CryptoCon reserves the right to:
- Restrict capacity;
- Refuse entry due to venue requirements;
- Change venues or entertainment;
- Cancel individual functions where required.
Access to alcohol service is subject to venue licensing laws and responsible service requirements.
6. Photography, Video & Media Consent
By entering a CryptoCon Event, attendees acknowledge and agree that photography, filming, livestreaming and audio recording may occur.
Attendees grant CryptoCon and its partners an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, publish, distribute and display their image, likeness, voice and appearance for marketing, promotional, editorial and commercial purposes without compensation.
This includes use across:
- Websites;
- Social media;
- Digital advertising;
- Broadcast media;
- Future event promotions.
7. Financial & Educational Disclaimer
CryptoCon is an educational and networking event.
Content presented by speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, partners and attendees is provided for general information and educational purposes only.
Nothing presented at the Event constitutes:
- Financial advice;
- Investment advice;
- Tax advice;
- Legal advice;
- Accounting advice;
- Trading advice.
Attendees should conduct their own research and seek independent professional advice before making any financial, investment or business decisions.
CryptoCon does not endorse or guarantee any cryptocurrency, digital asset, protocol, investment opportunity, exchange, platform, speaker, sponsor or exhibitor.
8. Badge Scanning & Lead Capture
Attendees may choose to interact with exhibitors, sponsors and partners during the Event.
Where an attendee voluntarily allows their badge to be scanned:
- The attendee consents to their contact details being shared with the scanning organisation.
- Future communications may be sent by that organisation in accordance with their privacy policies.
- CryptoCon is not responsible for communications sent by third parties following a badge scan.
9. Code of Conduct
All attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, staff and contractors must behave respectfully and professionally.
CryptoCon maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards:
- Harassment;
- Discrimination;
- Threatening behaviour;
- Physical violence;
- Intimidation;
- Offensive conduct;
- Illegal activities.
10. Personal Property
Attendees attend at their own risk.
CryptoCon is not responsible for:
- Lost property;
- Stolen items;
- Damaged belongings;
- Unattended personal possessions.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CryptoCon excludes all liability for any loss, damage, injury, claim, expense or cost arising from attendance at or participation in the Event.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Travel disruptions;
- Accommodation issues;
- Missed flights;
- Event cancellations;
- Speaker changes;
- Technology failures;
- Financial losses;
- Trading losses;
- Investment losses.
12. Force Majeure
CryptoCon shall not be liable for delays, changes, interruptions or cancellation resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters;
- Government restrictions;
- Public health emergencies;
- Industrial disputes;
- Venue closures;
- Security incidents;
- Telecommunications failures;
- Acts of terrorism;
- Civil unrest.
13. Privacy
By registering for the Event, attendees consent to the collection, storage and processing of personal information in accordance with the CryptoCon Privacy Policy.
Personal information may be used for:
- Event administration;
- Ticketing;
- Customer support;
- Event updates;
- Marketing communications;
- Event networking functionality.
Attendees may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
14. Intellectual Property
All CryptoCon branding, logos, content, event materials, presentations, recordings and intellectual property remain the property of CryptoCon or their respective owners.
No content may be reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission.
15. Amendments
CryptoCon reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be published on the official CryptoCon website and will take effect immediately upon publication.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Event is held.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts within that jurisdiction.
17. Website Terms of Use
By accessing, browsing or using an official CryptoCon website, users agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
CryptoCon websites and their content are provided for general informational, promotional, educational and event-related purposes.
CryptoCon reserves the right to modify, update, suspend or remove any part of its websites or website content at any time without notice.
18. Website Information & Accuracy
CryptoCon endeavours to ensure information published on its websites is accurate and current. However, event information may change and CryptoCon does not guarantee that all website content will be complete, accurate or up to date at all times.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Speaker, presenter and exhibitor information;
- Event agendas and session times;
- Partner and sponsor information;
- Ticket pricing, availability and inclusions;
- Venue, networking and event experience information.
Where website information differs from information communicated directly by CryptoCon or through the official ticketing platform, CryptoCon may clarify or correct the applicable information.
19. Third-Party Links & Services
CryptoCon websites may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, social media platforms or other external services.
These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. CryptoCon does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, privacy practices, products or services of third-party websites or platforms.
Access to and use of third-party websites and services is subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.
20. Acceptable Website Use
Users must not use a CryptoCon website to:
- Engage in unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or associated accounts;
- Introduce viruses, malware, malicious code or other harmful technology;
- Interfere with, disrupt or compromise the operation or security of the website;
- Scrape, reproduce, copy, republish or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission;
- Misrepresent an affiliation with CryptoCon or use CryptoCon branding without authorisation.
CryptoCon reserves the right to restrict or block access where misuse of its websites is identified.
21. Website Availability & Security
CryptoCon does not guarantee that its websites will be available at all times or operate without interruption, delay, error or technical issues.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CryptoCon is not responsible for loss or damage arising from website downtime, technical failures, data transmission issues, third-party services or reliance on website content.
Users are responsible for taking reasonable precautions when accessing websites and online services, including maintaining appropriate device and cybersecurity protections.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.
